Vehicle Regulations is an growing area where you have the possibility to get a very good overview about Scania's total product portfolio and also trends in our society.

Who are we looking for?

You are a person that take initiative, enjoy learning new things and like to work with many different groups and colleagues. The work is both individual and collaborative which demand skills in communication and cooperation. The work and contacts is within Scania, mainly R&D, but also externally with third party certification bodies and in various extent vehicle industry working groups. You are good at creating team spirit and have the ability to share experiences and information with your colleagues in a generous way.

You have experience from product development and knowledge about the vehicle industry is beneficial but not necessary. You may also have experience from working with regulations, standardization and committee work.

As you may understand writing and speaking English is done on daily basis. You are interested in seeing the broader picture and when needed dig into the details. Eager to learn and an open mindset is very appreciated.

About the group

Our group, YDRS, is working with coming new legislations to approved and certified vehicles. We are working with approval of vehicles and systems in development projects, special order projects, product adaptations and product maintenance projects, both trucks and buses. We are working closely with our design departments and with the other groups within YDR. We also bring in the different market requirements in the organization. This will give you a very good opportunity to develop yourself and get a unique understanding of the Scania business. For the approval of our products, we use third-party Technical Services and authorities.

Your assignment

Follow our different development projects and plan certification together with design and testing groups within one of the following core areas of YDRS, General Safety & Special orders, Electrification, Active Safety & Autonomous. Planning of certification is made also considering the availability of Technical Service inspectors. Support legal requirement analysis in product development regarding global regulations but also market-specific legislation. Closely monitor the need of certification in coordination with coming new legislation.

You need to follow and monitor coming legislation in cooperation with other members of the group and spread information about new legislation to design groups.
