Swedish Agro Group's Swedish subsidiary was established in 2011 for sales and distribution of fertilizer, crop protection etc. . The company has since evolved from being solely specializing in selling inputs in crop area to now be a more complete supplier to our customers.
In addition the Group Danish Agro made now in 2016 agreements with the German brand CLAAS for sales, service and distribution of their machines in the three Scandinavian markets.
CLAAS is European Marketleader in harvesting technology and global leader In selfpropelled forage harvesters.
The machinery business is set up in a new Holding company - Danish Agro Machinery Holding A/S - for each country a national salescompany is also established - for Sweden this is Swedish Agro Machinery AB in Staffanstorp.
Background
Lantmännen has a national agreement with Claas machines in Sweden worth 1.4 billion SEK. Claas Machines will not extend this agreement with Lantmännen and Danish Agro now see the opportunity this gives them. They will take over this contract running until full implementation at Q1 2017.
Historically, farmers have bought machines, feed and seed, etc. from Lantmännen. Now that Danish Agro will take over the machine part, they have high hopes to take over all the other parts of Lantmännen's operations as well. Therefore they invest a lot in this market, and the goal is to reach a revenue of 1 billion SEK during 2017.
Lantmännen has sold the machines through retailers, either through their own or through subcontractors such as Soderberg and Haak. In total, they had 54 plants throughout Sweden. Danish Agro will take over some of these plants and build up their own where necessary. The idea however, is to drastically reduce the number of dealers and tighten up and modernize the industry.
The Swedish company will be called Swedish Agro Machinery AB and have its headquarters in Staffanstorp, 15 minutes outside Malmö. The entire project will "breathe" the brand Claas. Unlike Lantmännen, who sold the equipment from many different vendors, Danish Agro will only sell Claas machines. It should be added that Claas machines is "state of the art" machines and therefore often cost more than other providers.
Work description
As CEO, you have the overall responsibility for operations with the staff in Sweden. You will report to the Nordic CEO of Danish Agro Machinery and be a part of the Group's Nordic management team. You will contribute to the implementation of the Group's overall strategy while operating and develops business operations in Sweden. The mission is to create opportunities for profitable growth through customer-oriented solutions and business models. You will have an experienced team of regional managers and sales organization to assist you.
Swedish Agro is looking for a leader with proven experience and good results in leading the growth with energy and passion. To succeed in the role you need to be results oriented with strong momentum and customer focus. You need to continue to be a committed and coaching leader who can energize and inspire your employees. You have strategic height and see the big picture, but you are also operational and daily leads the work forward. The role requires several days of travel per year.
• Relevant university degree - alt. relevant work experience
• Analytical with good IT skills
• Structured and process-oriented
• Communicative with sufficient knowledge of English and Swedish
In your role as CEO, you will get a very exciting challenge in which you are expected to help develop the business in line with the company's strategies. Claas machines are the market leaders in their segment, and the company is driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, with high ceilings, where they constantly develop new products and concepts to the customer.
Swedish Agro offer a market based salary with bonus.
