Scania Financial Services (SFS) is serving customers, dealers and distributors in 52 markets through 16 captive business units with financing and insurance solutions. In markets where we operate Financial Services finance about one third of Scania's sales. Over 700 dedicated professionals manage a portfolio consisting of 100.000 trucks, buses, coaches and trailers representing around 50 bn SEK of assets. 45.000 of these trucks are covered under a Scania insurance scheme. The Central Credit Risk department (FKC) is essential part of SFS head office. Our current Controller is going on maternity leave and we are looking for a temporary replacer for 12 months preferably starting in November or December 2014. Depending on the circumstances, the contract time can be extended or become permanent.
The position is reporting to the Global Credit Risk and Asset Manager (CRM) and represent a key function of the FKC. The person should act as an autonomous generator and analyst of credit reports. The Controller is also expected to issue recommendations regarding portfolio quality and also in charge of research of public data and communication with external parties.
Job description
In this role you will be part of a highly successful and professional team playing key importance in the head office of SFS. You will have many contacts with our local management teams in the business units as well as with other departments of Scania centrally.
The key responsibilities in this function can be summarized as follows:
• Monthly, quarterly and annual credit risk closing process (part of Scania closing process):
• Responsible for generation of certain central reports and their verification as well as analysis of the result providing
feedback to the business units as well as findings to the CRM.
• Responsible for drafting of the monthly credit risk report for SFS
• Responsible for preparation and continuous improvement of a number of important standardized quarterly reports together with GCRM and FSDW process-owners.
• Analysis and recommendations of trends within the SFS portfolio
• Responsible for organizing monthly performance meetings
• Responsible for research and reporting of public data for SFS competitors as well as communication with preapproved third parties
• Responsible for internal electronic communication within the credit area as well as administrator of certain electronic tools
• Responsible for further development of existing internal (FKC) KPI reports
• Responsible for communication and cooperation with other departments of Scania
Job requirements
We are looking for someone with a university degree in Finance, Business or Engineering. The right candidate has a good knowledge of the asset-based industry, particularly from portfolio analysis point of view, as well as a strong analytical profile.
You are used to working with Excel and have a good ability to structure and draft instructions/guidelines. You have strong communication skills, including ability to lead in multicultural environment, and are business driven.
Fluency in English is a must, other languages are a plus. The position will require some travelling.
