hela Sverige Northvolt has an exciting job possibility for an experienced engineer specialized in the field om Lithium Ion Battery development. You will be contributing from start to finish in building one of the first large scale European battery factories, which will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Cell Design Engindeer with specialization in Lithium Ion cells will be part of the Technical Partnership Team and work closely with members within the Cell Design team and report directly to the Director of Cell Technology.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan and implement design for Lithium Ion cells
Analyzing test data and to improve battery properties and/or managements system
Development of the manufacturing process
Education/Experience
Master of Engineering, Mechanical/Chemical/Physical Engineering/Electro Chemical
5+ years of practical experience from Lithium Ion Battery development.
Expericence from Cell Design and development of Lithium Ion cells is a must.
Experience from R&D laboratory.
Strong background from technical culture and proven engineering excellence.
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment and have a successful history with Japanese working culture.
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Japanese & Korean is highly evaluated.
Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently.
Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressured international environment (start-up).

Northvolt is building one of the first European large-scale lithium-ion battery factory. This is key for future innovation and will support and accelerate the transition to sustainable energy production and consumption.
