We are looking for a Category Purchasing Manager, Field Service Contracting to our Supply and Category Management department in Gothenburg.
Valmet in Gothenburg engineers, produces and delivers Rebuilds of Recovery / Energy boilers for Service and Evaporation plants for the pulp and paper industry / service. Supply and category management department is responsible for the procurement for large pulp and energy industry projects and smaller projects within service.
Job description
You will create and manage a competitive supplier base for managing important product and service categories within Pulp and Energy businesses within Services business line. As a Category Purchasing Manager, you work in a very close cooperation with different teams, across areas and functions, within Valmet business lines.
• The work involves many contacts both internally and externally suppliers.
• Source and maintain supplier base in Cost Competitive Countries (CCC) i.e. Eastern Europe or similar, such as:
• Welding / Fitting capacity, Site erection. (Blue Collar)
• Fixed price agreements
• Develop long term supplier strategy
• Build and maintain cost data in a structural way
• Support sales in pre-sales cases
Requirements
To be successful in this position you should have a university degree within procurement or finance, or other qualifications that we recognize as equal in weight. You should have high level of negotiation skills, and be able to travel.
Furthermore, you have work experience in procurement of various construction contracts with an international focus. Good knowledge of Swedish and English is required.
You are a proactive person who is passionate about service and delivering the best possible outcome. Of great importance is also that you are a team player with high social skills and very good communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you need good computer skills, a structured approach and very good planning ability.
