We are looking for you with experience from leading and managing both people and business around the world, managing cross functional teams in a global organisation. As a person, you are passionate about continuous learning and development.
To become successful, your ability to build strong trustful relationships with your internal business owners will be the most important factor. Your deep insights in the Marketing agency will set the basis for this.
We believe that you have knowledge in the following areas:
• Deep understanding of the Marketing Agency world for production, Research, PR, CRM and Events
• Strong experience in Agency models and remuneration
• Strong communication and influential skills
• Very strong negotiations skills
• Leading and driving transformation
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Possibility to travel
To be successful in this position, we also believe that you make change happen by engaging and motivating people around you, as you lead business through people, both in a remote and an onsite environment. You lead business with a holistic view and translate long-term priorities into clearly defined action plans, always with the total IKEA in mind. Moreover you are capable to develop, articulate and communicate business strategies with high level business understanding and strategic thinking.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Category Manager you will be a key contributor in securing our future business success. You will lead a senior team of highly competent co-workers. You will work closely together and align Category plans with the business and through proactive market monitoring give input about sourcing options, market trends and incentive structures.
As a leader you will be responsible to build competence throughout the organisation on all capabilities demanded by category based sourcing. You will coach, recruit and develop competent, high-performing and diverse leaders and co-workers. Through your leadership you create transparency of information, break down silos and facilitate free flow of ideas across teams and organisations. Last, but not least, you promote togetherness between co-workers from different parts of the organisation as well as encourage co-workers to challenge existing solutions for improvement.
For this position we are recruiting a Category Manager Marketing. This role reports to the Category Area Manager Marketing located either in Copenhagen/Malmö, London, Shanghai or Frankfurt/Wiesbaden.
