hela Sverige ValueOne is looking for a Category Manager Raw Material with international experience from heavy industry and procurement of raw material for production of steel for a longer consultant assignment at company in Stockholm. The assignment must be filled as soon as possible and is expected to last for at least six months with strong possibilities of being extended.

The role
In the role of Category Manager Raw Materials, you will develop and implement category strategies for an array of relationships needed, together with the best raw materials suppliers in the market.
Main tasks:
Collaborate with all required disciplines (tech, engineering, operations, logistics and finance) to provide the most favorable raw materials solutions, balancing price, quality, and sustainability to meet company goals and objectives.
Develop strategies, source suppliers and lead cross-functional negotiations for raw materials, packaging, consumables, etc. including leading key vendor/supplier negotiations.
Act as liaison between Operations and the supplier base.
Implement best-in-class processes and technology for strategic and day-to-day procurement work.
Experience and competencies
We are looking for a category manager that can take our customer 's strategic and tactical procurement for priority categories to the next level. The ideal candidate for the role possesses extensive work experience in international procurement within heavy industry, focusing on relevant raw material categories such as steel and iron. You have successfully managed complex, fragmented global categories like Iron Ore or Scrap Metal. Furthermore, you have experience in negotiating complex contracts involving shipping methos and terms. Strong influencing and negotiating skills, coupled with a familiarity with relevant markets, are notable strengths. Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is beneficial. Additionally, you are adept at effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks. Fluency in English in writing and orally is a must.
As a person you are proficient in strategic thought leadership, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, you are motivated, self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changes in the work environment, handling competing demands and unexpected events.
