We are looking for a Category Manager/Investment Purchaser for the sourcing and investment procurement unit "Electricity Distribution" to join the team at Vattenfall Staff Function Procurement.

You will design the future of Procurement. Procurement is one of the key levers in increasing Vatten-fall's Operational Excellence by harvesting synergies of scale and skill across the Group in the com-ing years. Procurement supports the business with procuring all goods and services at best possible commercial terms and conditions by being involved from when the need for external supply occurs and beyond the end of a supplier relation. Vattenfall is one of the largest buyers in the utilities sector with around 6 billion Euro spend annually.

As Category Manager/Investment Purchaser you will become part of an international team and report to the Sourcing/Investment Procurement Manager. You will lead, challenge and coach purchasers in your special category of responsibility and you and your colleagues will together drive Vattenfall's savings initiatives within your respective categories and create and harvest synergies via cross-border sourcing activities. In addition you will run the procurement part of major investment projects to main-tain and expand Vattenfall's electricity grid.

Your tasks & responsibilities

• Developing and implementing category strategies that match saving targets and improve cash flow, business needs and market opportunities
• Drive the sourcing process from demand to contract management
• Running large-scale investment projects and tenders
Your profile
• In-depth understanding of electricity distribution business (either from utility or suppliers to utility in that segment)
• Master's degree or other equivalent background
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• Strong personal drive, goal-orientation, and experience of working hands-on with change processes in a global setting with a strategic way of thinking
• International travel required
