We are looking for you with extensive knowledge of current and emerging technology and innovations, digital consumer trends and their impacts on the retail business. You have a genuine interest and knowledge in trends, incubation hubs and start-ups in the digital field. As a person, you are passionate about continuous learning and development, as well as about digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
To become successful, your ability to build strong trustful relationships with internal business owners in IKEA's digital department will be the most important factor. Your deep insights in the digital technology market, what top performing peers are doing and how to engage with this type of business partners, will set the basis for becoming a trusted procurement advisor truly integrated in the business.
We believe that you have:
• Extensive knowledge of current and emerging technologies as well as digital consumer trends
• A strong and broad, preferably global, network within the digital industry
• Leadership experience, preferably from a global organization
• Experience in business and supplier development
• Strong communication and influential skills
• Very strong negotiations skills
• Experience from leading and driving change
• Fluency in English both written and spoken

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We are in the biggest transformation of our history! Ingka is transforming from a traditional retailer into a truly digital player. At the same time procurement is transforming to a strong driving force with responsibility to own the end to end engagement with suppliers. We want to make sure we invite new and innovative sustainable solutions to both become a digital retailer and employer.
As a Category Manager you will be a key contributor in securing our future business success. You will lead a senior team of both co-workers and managers within our newly developed category; Emerging Tech. This means that you will be part of creating and developing something new, as you will steer and design the setup and ways of working for this new team and category. Isn't that exciting?
You will work closely together and align plans with the digital department and through proactive market monitoring give input about market trends and digital innovations. Through your extensive knowledge of current and emerging technology and digital consumer trends you will together with your team secure and manage a relevant supplier base to meet the needs of the Ingka Group for today and tomorrow.
As a leader you will be responsible to build competence throughout the organisation on all capabilities demanded by category based sourcing. You will coach, recruit and develop competent, high-performing and diverse leaders and co-workers. Last, but not least, you promote collaboration between co-workers from different parts of the organisation as well as encourage co-workers to challenge existing solutions for improvement.
In this role you will report to the Category Area Manager in Digital & Tech, and the role is preferably located in Malmö, Sweden.
