We are looking for you with experience from leading and managing both people and business in a global context, managing cross functional teams in a multinational organisation. As a person, you are passionate about continuous learning and development, as well as about digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
To become successful, your ability to build strong trustful relationships with your internal business owners in Group Digital will be the most important factor. Your deep insights in the digital technology market, what top performing peers are doing and how to engage with this type of business partners, will set the basis for becoming their trusted procurement advisor and become truly integrated into the business.
We believe that you have knowledge in the following areas:
• Deep understanding of the digital industry, supplier market and macro-economic trends
• Strong experience in supplier management and supplier & partnership development
• Strong background digital Services or Hardware & Platform, either in one, or ideally in both
• Strong communication and influential skills
• Very strong negotiations skills
• Leading and driving change
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
To be successful in this position, we also believe that you make change happen by engaging and motivating people around you, as you lead business through people, both in a remote and an onsite environment.
You lead business with a holistic view and translate long-term priorities into clearly defined action plans, always with the total IKEA in mind. Moreover you are capable to develop, articulate and communicate business strategies with high level business understanding and strategic thinking.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We are in the biggest transformation of our history! Ingka is transforming from a traditional Retailer into a truly digital player. This new structure will require a complete remake of the supplier landscape and how we approach the market. At the same time procurement is transforming from a support function into a strong driving force with responsibility to own the end to end engagement with the market and all business owners.
As a Category Manager you will be a key contributor in securing our future business success. You will lead a senior team of highly competent co-workers and managers, in the Digital and Tech Category Area. You will work closely together and align plans with Group Digital and through proactive market monitoring give input about sourcing options, market trends and digital innovations. By building strong partnerships with key suppliers you will secure and manage a relevant supplier base to meet the needs of the Ingka Group.
As a leader you will be responsible to build competence throughout the organisation on all capabilities demanded by category based sourcing. You will coach, recruit and develop competent, high-performing and diverse leaders and co-workers. Through your leadership you create transparency of information, break down silos and facilitate free flow of ideas across teams and organisations. Last, but not least, you promote collaboration between co-workers from different parts of the organisation as well as encourage co-workers to challenge existing solutions for improvement.
For this position we are recruiting two Category Managers, one within Services and one within Hardware & Platforms. These roles report to the Category Area Manager in Digital & Tech, and they are both located in Malmö, Sweden.

Together with our suppliers we meet those needs innovatively, cost-effectively and with sustainability built in from the start.
