hela Sverige As a Category Manager you will develop capacities and supply set ups aligned with our range development needs and you will secure that we have an efficient supplier base meeting our requirements. You will manage key supplier relations and ensure that businesses are done according to the Thule Group way. You will decide upon supplier classification and be responsible for the supplier structure as well as assigning new businesses to local site purchasers in co-operation with project purchasers. You will be responsible for that set KPI targets are reached and for driving supplier development activities within your category. Thule Group is currently investing heavily in new product categories which requires a re-fined supplier structure within the aluminum category, meaning that you will have to identify and open up a number of new suppliers within rather short timeframe. The role is primarily with a European focus, but with an extended role also to our Asian sourcing organization in a long term perspective.
We believe you have a minimum of 3 years experience from sourcing in an international business environment, preferably knowledgeable about category management principles with long term thinking and high commercial understanding. At the same time you need to have a hands-on approach eager to make things happen. You need to be a strong commercial negotiator and possess excellent communication skills.
We trust you have an academic degree from Sourcing and Purchasing Management or any other academic degree preferably within engineering or business economics combined with a comparable working experience. We would prefer if you have a good supplier market knowledge within the aluminum industry as well as a good technical understanding of aluminum materials and production processes, but it is not a must.
