Responsibilities
As a Regional Category Manager, it will be down to you to utilise your commercial accumen to make sure we buy goods and services worth up to SEK 60 Mn as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.It's this focus on delivering the best value to our customers that makes a strategic sourcing process fundamental to our success. This includes working with colleagues from across the Group to fully optimise every single Crown we spend and advising on the 'make vs. buy' commercial strategy. It makes this an excellent opportunity to sharpen your procurement skills and gain an inside view of how a market-leading energy company gets things done.
We're looking for people with the experience passion and energy to influence successfully negotiate with suppliers externally and co-operate with stakeholders internally. You should be ready to roll up your sleeves and get down to the details - whether you're selecting suppliers, using your legal knowledge to formalise contracts or managing supplier performance. You'll also make sure that we have up-to-date category plans in place, using the latest market research to expand your category product and service expertise.
Your main responsibilities are,
Co-steering of strategic sourcing activities for the business spend category and procurement of category specific strategic tasks for Hydro Power Plants in Sweden
Contribute to the implementation of identified cost reduction levers and strategies within area of responsibility
Contribute to the development, implementation and regular update of category strategies and drive cross-functional and cross-border cooperation
Collaboration with technical and commercial Co-Leads and further relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the category
Track and ensure achievement of forecasted cost reductions to contribute to overall through-life savings targets
Negotiate project related contracts and Framework agreements with strategic suppliers
Qualifications
• Successful track record in procurement; technical understanding and relevant supplier knowledge
• Comprehensive experience in the design and implementation of processes, structures, tools and methodologies of modern procurement organizations
• Experience with global high-value contracts, mitigation of risks in cooperation with legal entities
• Hands-on mentality combined with a solution-orientated work style and developed analytical skills
• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
• Strong performance orientation and entrepreneurial spirit
• Business fluency in English required, knowledge of other language would be an asset (German, Swedish)
