About us
The Sourcing Regional Categories Europe is responsible for procuring all direct material used in products with a regional set up of both plants and suppliers. Our task is to ensure that the greatest value is provided to the organization's internal customers and thereby positively affecting the overall business result.
We are organized in categories responsible for securing quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply within the category.
What we offer you
As a Category Manager - Fasteners, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team of Category Managers and Operational Buyers, reporting to the Sourcing Director, Categories Europe.
Your primary responsibility is to develop and apply business strategies, foster strong supplier relationships, and drive value in quality, delivery, cost efficiency, and sustainability throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your impact in this role will be significant, with ample opportunity to influence change and drive improvements.
In this role you will have full commercial responsibility for supplier relationships within your category, ensuring that cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability targets are met and exceeded.
Additionally, you will develop and implement long-term category strategies, aligned with internal stakeholders, to maximize value and ensure continuous improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
Develop and nurture strategic supplier relationships to enhance performance, foster collaboration, and unlock their full potential in areas such as cost reduction, waste elimination, product development, and innovation.
Lead sourcing projects and negotiations, securing optimal commercial terms and conditions to drive business success.
Establish and maintain strong cross-functional collaboration within Husqvarna.
Define, implement, and oversee the annual budget for cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations, ensuring continuous improvements and financial efficiency.

Who are you
You are a passionate sourcing professional with a background in direct materials. As a self-motivated team player, you thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, using your strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and drive results.
You have a strategic mindset and the ability to independently manage sourcing projects and initiatives, engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. A natural problem solver, you excel at navigating ambiguity and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
A solid commercial understanding, with a strategic approach to supplier management and negotiations.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Proven ability to align and manage various internal stakeholders while balancing business objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft RFPs, contracts, and agreements.

You bring experience in purchasing, preferably within category management, and possess technical knowledge of mechanical or mechatronic components. An understanding for strategic sourcing methodologies, fact-based negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration is essential. Additionally, you have experience working in an international environment, demonstrating adaptability and cultural awareness.
Other Qualifications
University degree in Engineering or Business Administration, complemented by a recognized qualification in Sourcing or a related field.
Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
