At Procurement, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality, and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Ultimately, it's all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo.
The products we buy for the team are overhead consoles with increasing complexity including software integration, ambient lighting, and interior sensing. We also buy cargo trim, load covers, base carpets, and NVH which includes all kinds of absorber and insulation products. In the team, we are also buying functional black plastics, which include frunk, underbody panels, wheel arch liners, fender carriers, brackets, aluminum heat shields, grille & shutters, radar & emblems, and hood & tailgate kinematics. As a category buyer, you will have the global responsibility to set and align strategies, secure sourcing execution in line with agreed strategies, and support smooth program launches. You will also be responsible for supplier strategies, maintenance, and commercial performance.

With your passion for identifying, enabling, and creating new solutions you also see new business opportunities in this field. You are known to always take ownership of your deliveries and have a strong strategic mindset.
You possess a strong business acumen with an understanding of the many dimensions of business issues while having the ability to make sense out of complexity, including legal and contractual aspects. You have commercial experience and enjoy negotiating and challenging the suppliers, always with great respect and a focus on achieving win-win agreements.
