Job Summary:
As a Production and Category Manager (PCM), you are responsible for a category (for example Confectionery & Snacks onboard) driving profitable and innovative long term growth of airline partners retail programs (product / service portfolio, pricing strategy, promotions, etc.) The role is responsible for defining and reviewing assortments, achieving budgets, and improving SPH for airline partners and clients. Plan, lead and evaluate the production of printed and digital marketing material produced for our airline customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for selecting product / service portfolio, optimizing assortments based on passenger profiles to drive SPH.
• Margin
• Analyse SPH and proactively propose new initiatives for further improvement.
• Proactive product research to drive innovation and the passenger's experience.
• Delivery of advertising and marketing income, ensuring it is in line with category targets.
• Forecasting sales for new SKUs and/or per campaign.
• Manage stock levels once product is discontinued
• Analyse market trends and competition in the market using BI/CI data and own research as appropriate.
• Attend presentations to airline partners and new/potential customers using insights to deliver innovative product / service portfolio.
• Ad-hoc category management projects.
• Plan, lead and evaluate the production of printed marketing material produced for our airline customers
• Omni channel production management
• Agency/Print coordination. Receipt of assortment from Category and delivery of all brief material to advertising agency
• Proof reading
• Timeplans and budgeting for marketing productions
• Communication and content execution
Education: relevant university degree or relevant work experience for the position
Work Experience: minimum of 2 years' experience in managing the relevant category, including product and assortment development. 5 years working experience in production management and retail
Technical Skills: Experienced MS Office user, familiar with BI and ERP tools and other business systems.
Basic knowledge of Adobe applications. Experienced in Proof HQ.
Other Skills:
• Able to deliver exceptional quality work within set deadlines
• Able to prioritise and act quickly to meet changing business demands
• Strong understanding of the commercial and consumer requirements of successful category management (eg range / price / promotion management)
• Able to build strong relationships with suppliers and customers, as well as other business stakeholders
Language / Communication Skills: fluent English essential, other languages an advantage
