Group Treasury drives business value by capitalizing and mitigating financial risks. We have a Group wide and global responsibility for the management of all financial risks, funding, financial infrastructure and bank relationships.

Who we are
We are now looking for a candidate to join the Cash Management Team which has a group wide responsibility for payment infrastructure, bank accounts, cash concentration, subsidiary funding as well as the short-term cash position. You will be joining a dynamic and ambitious Treasury team.

You will play an important role within Treasury and work within the functional area of cash management. Your focus will be on consumer payments covering all current and future business models. Volvo Cars has ambitious targets as regards direct consumer sales and the payment infrastructure must reflect this, be a key part in the customer experience and drive sales.

In this role you will have a great chance to influence how Volvo Cars payments ecosystem will look like ensuring the group can achieve its strategic objectives as well as making sure our consumer payment infrastructure fit into the overall cash management strategy. Further, you will work in close collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders. The position is based at Volvo Cars HQ in Gothenburg, but we are also open to remote working.

What you will do
• Drive, implement and manage cash management activities globally
• Responsible for the consumer payment infrastructure
• Ensure that consumer payment infrastructure is aligned with overall cash management ecosystem by identifying synergies and build on commonalities
• Drive tender processes, commercial negotiations, and build and manage relationships with banks, payment service providers and other financial partners
• Lead and drive projects for implementation of new consumer payment infrastructure
• Be key Treasury Stakeholder towards Business stakeholders, Digital, Legal, and Finance Operations regarding all matters of consumer payments
• Analyze payment methods, new payment trends and their treasury implications

Do you fit the profile?
• You have a University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer and Systems Science
• You make things happen and want to create and build great payment infrastructure
• You have a strong interest in payments and how new technology in this area can shape the future and bring business value
• You have a robust knowledge and understanding of Treasury as well as familiarity and interest within cash management with specific focus on consumer payments.
• You have experience of working with consumer payments, either at a payment provider, bank, merchant, or Corporate Treasury, preferably with global exposure
• You have proven record of negotiating agreements with banks and payment providers
• You have deep understanding of payment methods and their different characteristics in terms of user experience, risks and cost
• You are a functional leader with high integrity and excellent project management skills
• You are a target-oriented individual who has a drive to proactively improve and challenge, with ability to take own initiative and solve issues
