The HR Centre of Expertise has the responsibility to enable the most efficient and effective people solutions; based on business needs and driving business performance. The mission is to secure people processes, methods and tools, which simplifies the daily work for our managers and employees. We are looking for a Career and Succession Manager to build the global pipeline of high potentials and future leaders.
As Career & Succession Manager you will be driving the development, implementation and optimization of career and succession management across Volvo Cars. This is a strategic role that aims to enable career development and manage succession on a global level.
Main responsibilities
• Develop, implement and optimise global career and succession management
• Manage and coordinate succession on top management positions
• Visualise and communicate career paths
• Develop and align people development fora globally
• Raise awareness about talent pipeline internally and externally
• Secure and follow-up diversity and business impact
• Develop and provide communication and training
• Measure process effect and efficiency
• Manage multiple stakeholder needs
Required qualifications
• University degree in human resources, or equivalent
• Extensive experience in HR or related business, for example within executive search
• Broad experience from career and succession management
• Experience from a management role either as a project manager or a line manager
• Experience in executing global processes and working in a global team
• Fluent in English oral and written
Personal qualities
• Ability to translate business needs into processes, methods and tools
• Strong business acumen
• Good understanding of working in a corporate environment
• Broad understanding of people processes
• Strong project and change management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks against competing deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• High integrity and professionalism
• Analytical skills
• Strong communications skills
