At Research & Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. Are you interested in design and connected car technology? Do you share our passion for people, the environment and our urge to create a superior driving experience? Research and Development is the place for you to prosper.
Our group Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Architecture currently consists of 17 people and we work with base technologies in HW/SW primarily realised in the ECU's in the cars, such as SW Download, Network Management, Car configuration, Data Security and Autosar/SW Platform. Car Configuration is a base technology for handling SW function variants in an ECU. We are a part of the section Diagnostics and ECU Platform. Our section is responsible for all base technologies in the electrical platform, which forms the fundament for all electronic control units in the entire electrical system. In the years to come we will see a major development within car configuration parameters and the surrounding tools & systems we use. You will be working close to our car projects, ECU teams/suppliers, CCdB supplier as well as with variant coordinators, aftermarket and production teams. There is a lot of collaboration work needed with different teams and you will be the expert in managing car configuration parameters helping out the organisation. The role may also consist of subsystem responsibilities such as specifications and interface to surrounding systems and tools.
