About the jobGlobal Purchasing is responsible throughout the whole Alfa Laval Group to ensure relevant agreements and commercial conditions are in place for all major capital investments such as presses, CNC machines and production lines. The area covers an annual spend of 25MEUR. You will on the technical requirements work close with production engineers and factory managers. Alfa Laval has more than 50 production units around the globe.
Important part of the job is to work with global strategic suppliers, and to be a professional counterpart to the suppliers. You achieve results through active and close co-operation with our factories, distribution centers, operations development and production engineers.
PracticalitiesThe position is based in Tumba or Lund. English is the business language and the position requires 40-60 travelling days per year.
What you knowWe expect you to be a senior negotiator with a strong commercial drive and an engineering understanding. You have a university degree and/or several years of commercial experience from Purchasing, and preferably also from Sales, Marketing and Project Management.
You have strong negotiation skills and experience with the ability to continuously balance quality, availability and total costs. You are well familiar with the challenges within production engineering and capital investments.
