This role emphasizes developing strategies for Additive Manufacturing, though prior experience in this field is not required-it's a bonus. If you're eager to push the boundaries of CAM engineering and thrive in a collaborative, innovative environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities:
• Actively contribute as a collaborative team member.
• Partner with Senior Research Engineers in national and EU-funded projects.
• Interpret and understand customer requirements, including technical drawings and specifications related to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review CAD models and technical drawings, providing feedback to enhance manufacturability and improve processes across projects.
• Develop and implement CAM programs for CNC machines, including Powder and Wire Deposition of metallic materials used in Additive Manufacturing.
• Design innovative machining setups and establish flexible, low-volume machining strategies.
• Create and optimize tool paths, machining strategies, and tooling solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
• Conduct simulations and analyses to validate CAM programs, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Train and mentor CAM engineers, offering technical guidance and support.
• Stay informed about advancements in CAM software and manufacturing technologies, applying new knowledge to enhance processes.
Job Qualifications:
• Proven experience in manufacturing and production processes.
• Preferably, expertise in NC programming, particularly using NX software.
• Extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing and operating machining equipment.
• Open-minded with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and an independent work style to thrive in collaborative settings.
• Proficiency in English is required; Swedish language skills are a plus.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to share knowledge and train others.
