Calibration Engineer - Propulsion Vehicle Control
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As CALIBRATION ENGINEER within the group Torque Management Controls and Calibration your work will have a big impact on the vehicle's drivability. You will be responsible for the optimisation of the drivability functions for a specific powertrain in a specific project. Your technical competence, as well as your ability to manage projects, should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions. Your mindset should be analytic and with an aim of finding solutions.
Job profile:
• Optimize functions in specific projects/for specific models
• Analyse problems and work with improvements
• Manage the given assignment through a cross functional team
• Participate in other calibration projects
• Perform tests both in Europe and the US
Your profile:
• Experienced in driveline calibration
• A genuine interest in cars and the drivability of the car
• Well familiar with setting conditions and capacity assessment
• Ability to independently plan, manage and monitor your work
• Structured in following up, summarize and present the status of your work
• Curious with a very good analytical ability
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Open and sharp
• Very good practical and theoretical knowledge within the product area and the impact on complete vehicle
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• BSc Engineer within mechanical, electronics, physics or computer science or relevant work experience from this area
• Drivers license (B) is a requirement
• Meritorious is experience in INCA-PC, Matlab or Simulink
