What we offer

To reach our goals Volvo Cars have an ambitious CAE team working with the electrical propulsion system for the electric vehicles and full hybrids and we are now looking for a new person to lead this team.

What you will do
You will lead five members in our CEA team that performs simulations for the electric and hybrid high voltage system. These simulations are performed at high voltage system level. The models are used to simulate the system in several different domains (electrical and thermal) and include all components in the electric power train.
* Project leader for advance engineering projects.
* Participate in research projects with external partners.
* Cooperation with the design teams for all high voltage components.
* Analyze the simulation result and give proposals on how to improve design and calibration data.


Do you fit the profile?
We hope that you are an experienced CAE professional with an interest in leading and developing people. Ideally, you have a passion for physical modelling and a business oriented mindset.
* Minimum Master Degree or equivalent within a relevant field.
* Strong knowledge of one or more of the following areas: power electronics, electric machines, electromagnetic fields, applied physics, numerical methods.
* Experience from Matlab and Simulink.
* Experience from system and 3D physics simulation.
* Experience of model validation.
* Advantage if you have experience from Simscape, Comsol Multiphysics, Ansys (Maxwell, Simplorer, Fluent), Python, and Modelica.
