The department, Driving Dynamics and Noise & Vibration centre is one of Sweden's most prominent NVH groups and it supports Volvo's car programs with analyses and verification work to fulfil customer targets within the attribute areas of driving dynamics, noise and vibrations. Our responsibilities are target setting, method development, simulations, testing, attribute leadership and advanced engineering work.
In the Powertrain NVH CAE and Performance & Drivability group, we have the responsibility for combustion engines, electrical motors and driveline and their integration in the vehicle with regard to the attributes Powertrain NVH, Performance and Drivability. The team works integrated in all project phases, from advanced engineering to vehicle/engine production start, and field and quality issues, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the attributes in our cars.
We are now looking to strengthen our team with a CAE Engineer Flow Acoustics. As a CAE Engineer, you will perform flow acoustic analyses of intake, exhaust and climate systems. We work with state of the art methods and utilize linear as well as non-linear CAE software packages. Depending on the complexity of the problem, we use 1D or 3D tools to solve the fluid equations. We work in cross-functional teams, which will give you many internal and external interfaces of collaboration and the possibility to develop a broad network. This role is a challenging and exciting opportunity to learn how to design for best NVH performance, develop new methods and design guidelines, and get a complete picture of the NVH challenges in vehicles of today and tomorrow.
