At Product & Quality, you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. Are you interested in design and connected car technology? Do you share our passion for people, the environment and our urge to create a superior driving experience? Product & Quality is the place for you to prosper.

The Group "Engine CAE - Fluids" contributes with advanced simulations to the development of Volvo Car propulsion systems. We perform physically based simulations of all fluid related aspects of the propulsion system. Our vision is to be closely involved in the development process providing state of the art fluid dynamical simulations to obtain class leading propulsion.

As CAE ENGINEER Combustion systems you will be a part of the cross functional Petrol Combustion System team.

Petrol engines have a very important role in Volvo Cars future with electrified vehicles, providing range and power when the electric machine is insufficient. The combustion system is the heart of the combustion engine and it is here that the development of the engine starts. Combustion system development is therefore focused on early development phases but also continues through the concept phase. Collaboration and interaction with testing is a key factor for the role.

Your primary working tools will be CONVERGE and STARCCM+. The work will be carried out both independently and in teams. You will be expected to present your results at regular meeting as well as in written reports.

Working with 3D combustion simulations will give you a very good sense of engine operation. You will work closely with testing and with other groups at Propulsion Power Systems and you will have the opportunity to build an extensive network which will be a good basis for further career development within Volvo Cars.
