The global department Driving Dynamics Centre has the exciting and important task to develop and verify the attributes of Braking, Driver Assistance, Handling, Ride, Steering and Performance & Drivability within Vehicle Engineering.
The Braking Attribute and Analysis and Verification group is actively participating in the development and verification of the vehicle. The group has about 20 team members and are responsible for analysis, verification and validation of attribute, functions, and systems regarding Braking such as Brake Performance and Brake Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH). In addition, the group is also responsible for the requirement settings regarding Braking Attributes. Using progressive technology and engineering, we are active and responsible during all stages of the product development process; ranging from the research phase through concept phase, industrialization and post-production quality support.
Now we are looking for a CAE Engineer that will help us further develop or simulation environment and capability within brake performance. You are responsible for planning and performing tests, including analyses of results and reports. You will take part in the development of test methods, simulation environment and tools. You will also be responsible to correlate your calculation with vehicle and rig measurements. As part of our expanding team, you will be working in a creative environment shaping tomorrow's vehicles.
Main responsibilities
* Plan, perform and present CAE analyses
* Give recommendations based on CAE results and experience to the brake attribute and design departments
* Analysing of measurement data from both the vehicle testing and brake measurement rigs
* Calibrating and verification of CAE models against measurements
* Further developing of CAE models for simulating of new manoeuvres and function verifications
* Developing of CAE methods and instructions
Required qualifications
* M.Sc Mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Matlab/Simulink experience
* Knowledge or experience in vehicle dynamic and brakes
* Having general interest and knowledge in Car industry
* Driver's licence (B-level)
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Meritorious
* Programming experience in Modelica, Visual basic, C and Python
* Familiarity with ADAMS (for multi body simulations), Abaqus (for thermo mechanical simulations)
Personal qualities
* Self-driven with a positive attitude
* Able to take initiative and to identify and accomplish challenging objectives
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to plan, conduct, summarise and report your work in a structured and thorough manner
* Good communication and social skills and a willingness to actively participate in the team's common matters
