CAE Engineer - Solidity
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As CAE ENGINEER - SOLIDITY within the section Solidity you will perform Solidity CAE analysis and participate in car program teams. You will also communicate analysis results and guide the design work from a Solidity perspective. Furthermore you will be part of requirement settings of the Solidity attribute at system level. The Solidity section is responsible for the sub-attributes Dynamic Squeak&Rattle, Static S&R and Solid Function with 14 employees and is part of the Craftsmanship & Ergonomics Centre which also includes another two different attribute areas, namely Perceived Quality and Ergonomics.
We are now looking for two new colleagues to strengthen the deliverables and the development of the next generation CAE tools and analysis.
Job profile:
• Perform Solidity analysis i.e. modal analysis, attachment and static stiffness as well as squeak & rattle analysis (S&R).
• Communicate analysis results and guide the design work from a Solidity perspective
• Participate in requirement setting of the Solidity attributes at system level
• Contribute in the development of improved or new methods and model capability
• Lead and take responsibility in Solidity CAE assignments
Your profile:
• MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum two years of CAE work experience
• Knowledge of Ansa, Nastran and/or Abaqus
• Fluent in English and Swedish
• Analytical capability with ability to work independently
• Result oriented with a custumer focus
• Team player with a sense of responsibility
• Advantage with experience from automotive industry, Matlab knowledge and competence in structural dynamics and/or acoustics.
