CAD Systems Administrator
(at Kongsberg Automotive AB, Mullsjö/Gothenburg, Sweden)
The main objectives as an CAD System Administrator are to provide the KA global organization needed sustaining and change management support with a CAD environment, CAD softwares and CAD data management, with high availability and security. CAD Systems includes software's within following categories CAD, CAE, CAM, PDM, PLM.
Ensure efficient usage, functionality, and improvements of CAD environment.
Areas of responsibility
3D CAD software's and integration to ONE KA PLM system SAP/PLM on a KA global basis. 3D CAD tools used are Catia v5, NX, ProE, SolidWorks.
Projects, tasks and support defined within IS&T EDS department and within R&D organization.
The position has a global responsibility that involves some travelling over several days to other Kongsberg Automotive sites. Availability in off hours may be required to resolve severe system issues (Incidents) or to take part in planned CAD Systems maintenance.
Personal tasks
• Installation, configuration and patching of CAD Systems software on user desktop manually or use of SCCM.
• Configuration and administration of CAD environment.
• Evaluate, test and certify CAD station and laptop hardware configurations based on performance and cost.
• Participate in and/or lead assigned tasks and projects.
• License management for CAD software global and regional.
• Analyzing , troubleshooting CAD design stations and CAD data management systems.
• Keep system documentation and training material up to date.
• Provide training for BSEs in KA processes implemented in CAD Systems.
• To be a member of IS&T EDS admin helpdesk organization.
• Take part in rolling forecast process with focus on CAD Systems software.
Main challenges
Understand the needs and requirements of the user organization and find, develop and support efficient solutions in CAD Systems environment.
Ensure sufficient quality assurance of implementation of changes in CAD Systems landscape.
Candidate profile
• Education: BS or BA, with math or science emphasis, preferred optional Associates degree from IT Technical University with additional work experience
• 5 years experience in engineering, mechanical design, and/or 3-5 years as CAD systems administrator.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish. Preferably oral command of at least one other language in addition to mother tongue.
