Do you want to work in an exciting technical area and at the same time influence the function of lids and the exterior on the car ? If so, you should consider if a position as CAD engineer sheet metal within the Hood and Fender group is something for you.
The Hood and Fender group (93631) is included in the section Closures (93630) which is divided in 4 engineering groups. These 4 groups are responsible for the areas door structure and sealing, door mechanics and rear opening systems. The department we belong to is Body & Exterior (93600).
The Hood and Fender group (PSS240) is today a group with 14 permanent staff and 8 consultants. We have an open dialogue where we all share our knowledge and our opinions. We work with technique development and implementation in projects of the following components: Hood, fender, hood hinge, gas strut, bump stop, hood opening system, fuel filler system, recharge system and structural parts in the engine compartment.
Work description:
Work tasks include development of our components , in new car projects , from project start until approved project launch.
You will be part of an engineering team where you develop engineering solutions that fulfil properties and process demands within decided cost and time frames.
You will have large possibilities to influence how the final product will be received by our customers and to contribute to reach our overall targets.
The work includes extensive contacts within our company with other engineering departments and production, and also with external suppliers.
Be responsible for that the technical documentation is available at the right level and at the right time.
Carry through design reviews with assignment manager
Qualifications:
Technical education at university level or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years engineering experience.
Good leader characteristics.
Very good knowledge in Catia V5.
Good knowledge in sheet metal design.
Skilled PC user.
Good knowledge in English, oral and written.
Good decision-making ability.
Good interpersonal skills.
Creative and curious mindset.
High social competence.
Structured approach.
Quality conscious.
Drivers licence.
Merit qualifications:
Design experience from automotive industry.
