Our client within the Automotive Industry are currently looking for CAD design engineer who wants to join their agile teams. You will work within a unit that is called Electrical Distribution System (EDS) that are responsible for developing the electrical distribution system, the wiring harness and the wiring harness components, in all vehicles within the company. EDS are responsible for several different harnesses, low, mid and high voltage. As a CAD engineer, you will be responsible for their wire harness designs from concept phase to the final product (build to print). You will work closely with the suppliers, lead engineers and manufacturing engineers.
Daily responsibilities
* Design of EDS wiring harnesses
* Packaging of the wire harness
* Create drawings and models of EDS harnesses
* Keep contact with suppliers regarding updates and changes
* Handle and determine possible redesigns to solve issues found in testing and manufacturing
* Responsible for handling design related quality issues
About you
We are looking for candidates with a university degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. You have experience from the wire harness manufacturing process, are fluent in English (written and spoken) and Catia V5. EDS work experience, KDP experience and CHS experience are meritorious.
Furthermore, as a person you are driven, has the ability to work both independently and with others and are communicative.
