CAD Engineer Mechanical Structure Brakes
The ART (Agile Release train) Deceleration, part of the Solution Vehicle Motion & Climate within Product and Quality at Volvo Car Group, is now looking for committed and collaborative colleague. The ART Deceleration is responsible for the delivery of the complete systems that make us leading within Driving Experience Braking.
We work in close cooperation with our suppliers and different car projects. We deliver complete system to new car projects and to current running production.
What's in it for you?
As a CAD Engineer you will be working in the industrialization phase of the project up until production start, and design different components to reach the technical objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time. The work will be carried out together with a team consisting of design engineers, test engineers and CAE engineers. The role require close contact with other areas within R&D and our suppliers.
In this role you will be given the possibility to improve and deepen your technical knowledge of the system area and the chance to build new network within our company.
What you'll do
As a CAD engineer you will use Catia and Teamcenter to model the brake system. You will need to understand properties of the system, such as Car factory process, Supplier process, Durability, NVH, Perceived quality.
You will also quality control drawings from our full service suppliers as well as releasing them in our Volvo Systems.
To be able to do this you will need to manage your suppliers and your stakeholders so that you get information you need. You will also secure that your work complies with any interface it might have.
You will work in an agile team as we are organized according to SAFe.We strive for self-organizing teams that feel responsibility for the end customer.
The team handles the complete development chain from defining high-level requirement to verified solution in vehicle.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a technical education, preferably a Master's degree in mechanical engineering and 3 years' experience in product development.
You have very good knowledge and experience in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter. If you have experience with IPS (simulation) it is an advantage.
We will highly value technical knowledge of the brake system and competence in science of materials as well as communication/coaching skills and proven knowledge in SAFE (agile) and LEAN.
If you have experience of above stated skills from outside of Volvo, it is an advantage.
You are fluent in English both written and spoken.
