We are now looking for a CAD Engineer with focus on Chassis Suspension and Steering.
What you will do
We are now looking for an experienced CAD Engineer with good skills in NX and Teamcenter for the Vehicle Motion and Dynamics HW engineering team at NEVS. The Vehicle Motion & Dynamics HW -team is covering a wide span of Hardware Systems from traditional Chassis systems such as Suspension, Steering, Brakes and Wheels & Tires via Propulsion, Electrical Motor & Inverter, to the Thermal system in the vehicle. This position will focus on component and system design in Front & Rear Suspension and Steering area.
At NEVS we work in the Agile way of working where SAFe is our project organization structure. Because of this way of working support for other components/systems within the team will also occur.
Work tasks
- As a CAD Engineer you will work close together with the System Engineers in the Vehicle Motion & Dynamics -team, developing detail designs for our chassis systems.
- You will also interact closely with other departments within the R&D area such as Integration, Manufacturing, CAE -engineers, etc.
- You will produce 3D models and PMI drawings for different components and systems within the chassis area.
- You will create assemblies for systems.
- Perform kinematic and envelope analysis on both system and sub-system levels.
- You will be responsible for updates and maintenance of the CAD-models in our Vehicle Assembly Structure within our area.
- You will be working in Siemens NX environment, supported by Teamcenter.
- The work is performed according to NEVS process where parameterized modelling is used.
- You will mentor other CAD Design Engineers within the team.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience from Automotive industry.
- Very good knowledge in Siemens NX.
- Good experience and knowledge in Teamcenter.
- Good knowledge of automotive chassis systems design is a merit.
- You are a dedicated Team player.
- Open minded and curious with an innovative and proactive problem-solving approach.
- You are flexible and understand that changes along the way is a natural part of a development project.
- Open to share your experience and findings with the team as a natural part of your daily work.
- You write and speak English fluently.
