The Living Group responsibility is to design and develop systems and components with the aim to enhance functions and comfort used while living in the cab; storage systems, headliner and wall trim parts, bunks, floor mats, interior lights, refrigerators, curtains, surface materials, etc.
We are now looking for a CAD Design Engineer within Storage Systems to take responsibility for concept and detailed development within the Storage Systems area.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As a CAD Design Engineer for Storage Systems you will work in all engineering phases, from advanced engineering to concept generation, detailed development and industrialization. Engineering documentation is done in Catia V5, Enovia and Kola. Other typical tasks include writing technical specifications, defining product structure and working closely with feature responsible, testing engineers and product planning.
The role is cross functional which means you will take an active part in your system/component area issues within the whole Volvo GTT organization and closely cooperate with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, testing, aftermarket etc., both locally and on other sites within Volvo GTT.
You should be able to take full engineering responsibility and independently work with the tasks within your engineering area.

Profile and Qualifications
• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Experience of product development, designing complex plastic and sheet metal components within the Vehicle industry
• Skilled Catia V5 designer, with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Skilled in Enovia
• Skilled in KOLA
• Familiar with the Volvo developing process
• Experience in using Volvo IT systems like Protus, Lync, Team Place, etc
• Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken.
