hela Sverige We at ALTEN have been privileged to be awarded an innovation-focused project with one of our core customers in Automotive. The project will focus on development of an Embedded Middleware, which does not exist today.
The purpose of the middleware is twofold. The first one and most important one, is to enable Autonomous Driving, which will not be possible with the previous architecture and data processing. The Middleware will enable that by being the software-glue of a larger core computer, but also by building the Autonomous Drive features on top of it as an "app", instead of specific microcontrollers. The second goal is to enable "service-ification" of the car, which can open it up to 3rd party vendors, to fully adapt the car according to customers needs. This can involve, adding a function of remote access of the car's cameras and recording, and remove it if not of interest later.
In this delivery ALTEN has full responsibility, which means that you as a consultant will be a key factor for the success both in the delivery but also recommending improvements to the customer and also in the development and expansion of the ALTEN team.
For this, we are looking to expand our team with good SW Engineers of relevant experience. The code used will be C++, and previous Middleware experience is a huge bonus, but not a must. Overall, what we are looking for are good SW engineers with background from SW development. Previous experience could also be in Embedded C, Python or Java. Albeit, this project will focus on C++ programming.
As a summary, the experience and background sought:
• C++ expertise
• Middleware background preferred, but not mandatory
• A SW Engineering mind-set, and industry background
• Knowledge in Embedded C, Python, Golang or Java could be of interest
• Experience in QNX is strongly preferable
• Knowledge in SOME/IP, TCP/IP and NVIDIA processors are also assets sought
