Volvo is now looking for a C++ Developer with an interest in software development, functional testing and working hands-on. Working as a C++ Developer at Volvo Cars Safety Vehicle Automation
At Safe Vehicle Automation, our 600 engineers contribute to safety in several areas. On top of developing a robust, energy-efficient, and world-class Vehicle Motion control platform, our engineers build functionality for Active Safety and Autonomous Drive that provides an excellent ride experience to the driver and the passengers. Our future function growth and innovation depend on highly capable sensors and a powerful computer platform; therefore, we collaborate closely with our platform's strategic partners. Within our scope, we also work with protective safety solutions that secure preventive car behaviors in scenarios where a crash cannot be avoided.
As a C++ Developer, you will work in an in-house team focusing on either emergency maneuver assistance (EMA) or low-speed maneuvering (LSM), depending on your profile and interests. As a C++ developer, your primary focus will be on software implementation. The goal is to develop so that you can work with physical testing directly in a car and a rigged environment - therefore, there is a lot of focus on functional testing and logic. The work will therefore be a mix of coding in the office and working hands-on. You must also be communicative and social in your role since you will work closely with other teams.
Being a consultant at Nexer Tech Talent
Nexer Tech Talent specialize in giving young tech talents the ultimate start in their careers. For this role, you will be employed by Nexer Tech Talent but work at Volvo Cars in Gothenburg starting in march 2023. You will be coached by a mentor at Volvo and by a consultant manager at Nexer Tech Talent. As a consultant, you will be well taken care of. We often invite our consultants to group activities such as lectures, after works and lunch meetings. After successful completion of the consulting assignment, the intention is that you will be offered employment with Volvo.
Desired qualifications:
• Have a relevant degree within computer science, electronics or equivalent
• Have an interest or experience in software development
• Have skills in C++
• Has a swedish driver's license (B)
• You are an experienced driver that enjoys the freedom of mobility the car can provide
