Jeppesen, a subsidiary of Boeing, is one of the largest software development companies in Gothenburg. They develop innovative optimisation solutions for the world's leading airlines. Dedicated to continuous improvement, they explore emerging technologies such as quantum computing, AI and big data analytics.
About the role
Jeppesen are currently looking for an experienced and talented C++ software developer with a curious mind, a true interest in the art and craftmanship of software engineering, and who is a natural team player.
Position responsibilities:
Develop and deploy high quality software
Handling any problems or challenges collaboratively
Be active in the team evolvement as a high performing team
You will be part of a highly qualified and experienced team developing airline business logics featured in the software platform, which is the foundation of their product solutions.
The software platform and its modules are mainly implemented in C++ and the OS is Linux. Python and Java are also used when writing test cases and in communication upstream and downstream in the solutions. They strive to have strong and empowered teams that deliver high product quality through speed, continuous improvement in close collaboration with other teams and stakeholders. The teams work in an agile setup integrated in their SAFe-inspired framework that secures structure and cadence of delivery in their release trains. Code is shipped to their clients every 6th week.
Product quality is at the core of the organisation, where build-environment, tests and CI/CD in combination with a DevSecOps mindset is a crucial part for success in their journey from on-premises solutions towards SaaS solutions.
About you
They believe you have a strong analytical approach to problem solving, strong communication skills both within and outside of your team and an interest in technology as well as people. A good understanding and experience of agile methodology is highly valued.

Jeppesen offer several education and training possibilities in order for you to get under the hood of their product solutions technically and also from a customer point of view.
Qualifications
Good knowledge and skills in Java, Python and Linux
Common database modelling knowledge
Good knowledge and interests in unit testing, build pipes and CI/CD
A curious mind and a true continuous improvement mindset
A team player with high integrity
Fluency in English (their corporate language), spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in computing engineering or other relevant or equivalent education or experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in C++ programming
Experience in using and understanding agile methodology
Interest in functional programming (Haskell)
Experience and interest in DevOps
