hela Sverige Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
We are now expanding the team working with software updates of the vehicle and are looking for a new team member for one of our awesome teams.
The group consist of serveral teams working with support functions for the electrical system in Scania vehicles and we are responsible for several data chains across the whole product. All teams are an important part of several development projects at Scania since we implement the ability to do software updates in the electrical system, enables uploading of operational data and configuration of the vehicle.
The electrical system is growing both in size and complexity and the information surrounding the systems are constantly getting more and more digitized. The teams are focusing both on challenges and needs right now in parallel with long term focus aligned with the technical roadmap for Scania.
We are working in agile teams scaled to synchronize our releases, aiming for the same vision and having a lot of fun.
About the team
The team works with the software updates modules SPIN (Scania Product INterface) and CFC (Common Flash Component). The modules are developed close to the R&D department together with tight collaboaration with service markets and worshops using this functionality.
The team is responsible for the backend and lower level parts of software updates of all updatable ECUs in all vehicles produced by Scania.
We alos have big challenges ahead designing a new component for software updates over the air and we have started using new techniques like cloud based development using AWS.
Your work
You will work with software development using .NET, C#, C++, Git or Perforce on Windows. You will also be involved in several technical discussions in a wide network from product, research and development to workshops and after care of the vehicle.
As a team member you will be responsible not only for developing the components used for updating the ECUs but also some of the infrastructure around it. Even if a full stack developer profile is not required it is beneficial to have a wide understanding of things like AWS, Elasticsearch/Kibana, ASP.NET, .NET Core and embedded programming.
Your profile
• You are a system- and software developer, preferably C# and .NET or experience from similar languages like Java, C++, C
• You have an interest in electronics and hands-on handling of hardware on your desk as well as in vehicles is beneficial
• Good communication skills and able to independently find information
• You are comfortable to work cross functional and have ability to understand how details fit in the bigger picture
• You might have knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, OBDII, CAN, UDS/KWP (a merit but not required)
• You have knowledge and experience of working in an agile environment
• You have good knowledge in Swedish and English
