We need an enthusiastic, open-minded and organized person here at Polestar to be a valuable member of our growing global Purchasing team. Indirect Purchasing is responsible for the purchasing of all non-production materials and services to all our staff and plants.
At Indirect Purchasing we work closely with all our stakeholders in order to find the best solution for Polestar Performance AB and the regions. The role will be primarily covering Marketing Services and Events/Exhibitions but will require support in all areas both within Polestar HQ and the regions where & when required. The role will evolve and develop over time as the organisation expands
This role will report directly to Polestar Purchasing Manager based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Your contribution
• Facilitate, coordinate and lead sourcing.
• Long term: lead sourcing projects including setting sourcing strategies against agreed commodity business strategy, conducting request for quotations and negotiate commercial and legal agreements
• Reduce total cost of ownership by finding cost reduction opportunities and increased value
• Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Perform sourcing activities according to Indirect Purchasing sourcing processes
• Maintain and develop the processes and legal contracts and templates
• Support and review supplier strategies, market tests, bench marking
• Purchase system ordering
Who you are
• Proven experience as a Marketing buyer is meritorious or similar indirect purchasing position with some knowledge in the marketing area is also of interest. 2-5 years of experience.
• Thorough understanding of the procurement process and strategic sourcing
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages; working knowledge of Volvo SRM or other purchasing software
• High integrity with a holistic view.
• BSc in Commercial or Technical discipline from a university degree or equivalent institution.
You are motivated and receive energy from working and communicating with diverse stakeholder groups. We also see that you are customer oriented, responsible, innovative, and driven. Strong multi-disciplinary skills with business acumen, negotiation skills & strategic planning is strongly preferred. You're a doer with solid organizational skills who has the ability to multitask and can be flexible.
Periodically you will travel as a part of a global team and to support Polestar's truly international business.
