Purchasing Buses & Coaches is playing a key role in achieving a successful product.
Our team consists of 19 highly motivated individuals with most probably the biggest diversity in culture within Global Purchasing. Our people is located Poland, Finland and Sweden. We purchase all material needed for Bus Body production in Lahti (Finland) and Slupsk (Poland).
We are now seeking one additional Buyer to increase the efficiency of our team.
Role description
As a Buyer for Buses & Coaches you will get the opportunity to in a team with more experienced purchasers, participating in the operational and strategic work as well as negotiations. You will also need to work cross-functionally in an international environment with contacts in all Europe.
The office is located in Södertälje, but the position will involve some travel to Scania production units and suppliers.
Your tasks
Maintain and develop relationship with suppliers within the material groups.
• Support introduction or phase out of suppliers / products
• Support in ensuring long term capacity of supplier portfolio and with capacity / delivery issues
• Could be the initial contact for material planning in terms of supply disturbances
• Contribute in the evaluation of suppliers during the segment strategy definition
• Supports in executing business plan activities
• Supports in preparing sourcing cases
• Structure and manage purchasing systems to make sure that prices and contacts are respected
• Implement changes in existing products in cooperation with Scania engineers and project managers
Your profile
You are a person recently graduated (högskole- eller civilingenjör) with an interest for technics but also business, and you see this job as a step into Scanias Global Purchasing. In case you have some previous experience in purchasing we will see it as a plus.
To be successfull in this role it is necessary to be target oriented, analytic and to have a capacity to drive different tasks in parallell in a structured way.
You are able to work lon term and proactive to improve our organisation and to support our strategic purchasers in the best way. You feel comfortable taking own initiatives and working independently in order to develop your own role. Since you will work crossfunctionally you feel comfortable in having presentations, meeting new people and you are fluent both in swedish and english, speaking and writting.
