hela Sverige As Buyer for Volvo Construction Equipment you will manage the supply base for an assigned commodity on a daily basis for Purchasing & Supplier Management (P&SM). You are accountable for a purchasing portfolio and the day to day work for your commodity, covering up to 8 sites in Europe, but mainly working towards Wheel Loaders manufactured in Arvika and Articulated Haulers in Braås. You also have the purchasing responsibility within your commodity to the component plants in Hallsberg and Eskilstuna. You will represent P&SM in different product development projects and will in those follow Volvo CE's product development process. You will have a broad network including contacts within Technology, Operations, Volvo CE Purchasing, AB Volvo and our suppliers.
Core Responsibilities:
• Perform the activities required for the portfolio such as negotiations in line with the Sub Commodity Teams/strategy, and to optimize the total cost (Quality, Logistics, Cost and Manufacturing)
• Reducing lead time from suppliers in cooperation with Inbound Logistic
• Quality, Delivery and Cost deliverables for purchased material in product development projects
• Support, or drive Early Supplier Integration (ESI) activities
• Prototype, pre -series and initial sample sourcing
• Contribute to achievements of the global and regional P&SM key performing indicators
• Support the development of the business relationship with suppliers in the commodity

Required Competencies:
• Minimum 3 years of experience working within Supply Chain Management
• Proven negotiation skills
• Parts knowledge within Rubber & Weldment components
• Experience working with project management
• Experience from automotive industry or similar
• Previous experience/knowledge working with supply chain strategies
• Very strong drive and willingness to lead and take own initiatives
• Energetic and target driven
• Analytic, logic and strategic ability
• Strong communication skills and open minded team player
• Business mind set and holistic view
• Working experience in SAP
• Fluent in English and Swedish
Education:
• Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering or economics
