Buyer - Accessories & special Vehicles
Volvo Cars Purchasing is looking for a Buyer to join our Purchasing department. You will be placed within the Accessories & Special Vehicles purchasing function, responsible for purchasing activities in the area Special Products. In your role you will work in a team of 8 buyers with tight cooperation where you handle products with low volumes and short lead-times. The job contains both Commodity and Product Buyer tasks. This involve: establish and maintain a competitive supplier base in a long-term perspective and deliver products (value chains) to the organisation according to project and department targets.
Purchasing is an important player during the complete development phase and all purchasing activities are carried out in close cooperation with Product Development, Product Planning and Marketing.
Job profile:
• Deliver requested Purchasing activities in line with gate demands & structure
• Perform year to year commercial negotiations
• Act on design changes according to the projects
• Maintain and develop the supplier base
• Build, develop and maintain competitive supplier strategies (commodity strategies)
• Lead the supplier selection activities
• Carry out market analysis and bench marking studies
• Actively participate in activities that focus on continuous improvements, both within Purchasing and at the supplier
• Actively participate in team development and teamwork
