Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization is a function within Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP).
Our responsibilities can be categorized as follows:
Business Transformation & Partnerships, Sourcing & Project Excellence, IT Projects
Purchasing as a function is going through a transformation. Keywords of the future will be (digitalization, new business models, partnerships, innovation, AI driven, revenue generating, data driven, business transformation). As one of the largest procurement entity's worldwide, we are committed in making GTP becoming the leading purchasing entity globally in this transformation. In order to accelerate and boost this development we are in search of a business transformation manager inside the purchasing strategy & digitalization team.
Mission
The business transformation team mission is to stay fully in sync with the latest trends out there impacting purchasing, anticipating the future and translate it into GTP value by using all sources available out there. The GTP digitalization factory act as an early phase incubator for piloting new innovative technology that could make significant contribution to Volvo Group & GTP. We conduct small scale proof of values and piloting ideas before potential implementation. We are as well leading industrialization in larger digitalization project impacting purchasing as a function.
Responsibility
Performs detailed pre studies in selected areas of interest, assess its value and recommendation for GTP moving into the future (business transformation, partnerships, new business models, purchasing digitalization)
Act as project leader for transformational projects in the GTP digitalization roadmap (could be in the space of - Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology, Data Driven Business Models or other relevant fields)
Performs benchmarks in with world class leading companies in selected areas
Absorbs and consolidates business intelligence (internal/external sources) and translates it into GTP value
Continue to fill up the GTP digitalization roadmap with more exploration cases
Stays closely connected with the Volvo group new emerging technology network & the GTP operational line organization
Authorities
Member of the Business Transformation & Partnership management team within Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization
Member of the Purchasing Digitalization factory team.
Competence
Eager to learn and work with your own development. Be the best and strive to be humbly perfect
Masters or bachelor university degree in a scope related field with experience
Ability to act as an business translator. Taking emerging purchasing technology trends and translate it into real business value inside GTP
Digitalization project implementation experience (Business Acumen, Change Management, Agile, Project Management)
Great communication and networking skills (internal, external, technology), so everyone can understand what you are trying to say
> 5 year experience from the automotive sector and purchasing preferably in a managerial position. Ability to structure, analyze high amount of data and draw conclusions adding value to GTP
Interest in business intelligence matters (Industry in general, competitors, universities, innovation, communication, business models)
Passionate about bringing improvement to the Volvo Group and GTP
A proven ability in changing an organization for the future
A collaborative spirit
A strong sense of accountability for your deliveries
