VisitBritain is seeking a full time B2B manager with a commercial and innovative mind-set. We are looking for a team player with talent and personality to create and grow effective relationships with intermediaries in the Nordic region. This is a varied, challenging and interesting position where the successful applicant will shape an innovative approach to achieve VisitBritain objectives;
• Grow awareness, availability and sales of regional British products & itineraries in Denmark, Norway & Sweden.
• Grow and defend market share of London products & itineraries via intermediaries in Denmark, Norway & Sweden.
This position will report directly to the Regional Manager Nordic, it covers both Leisure and M.I.C.E travel as well as sales of commercial products via the VisitBritain shop. The B2B manager will collaborate extensively with the Nordic Marketing & Communications team, as well as International colleagues across VisitBritain.
Some of the key tasks will be;
• Key Accounts The ability to create, manage and develop key accounts in order to increase market access for the UK industry.
• Insights Collect industry insights from all three markets, sharpen the team's knowledge of the travel industry landscape in the region, by sharing intelligence so the team can act on it.
• Strategy - work with the regional manager to create the Nordic B2B strategy, this will define our approach in the region going forward.
• Supplier & partner relations - working with the London-based B2B team build up a strong knowledge and contact network of suitable British travel product / experiences for the Scandinavian markets.
• Event/Activity management - Deliver first class buyer/supplier events where required. Project manage the event from concept to evaluation. Ability to organise support and host product knowledge educational visits as required.
• Communications - Work closely with the Nordic Marketing Communications team to ensure effective communication is in place to B2B contacts in Scandinavia. Covering ECRM to PR, Travel Trade websites and the VisitBritain shop.
