Business Risk Implementation and Support (BRIS) Group Functions is established and focused on strengthening our capabilities in the management of non-financial business risk. The non-financial risks are the risk embedded in the operation, and are often driven by people, processes, IT and the external environment. To support and manage the non-financial risk in a good and proactive way, we need to have a good understanding of incident and crisis management as well as having a forward looking view by risk assess our current and future operation environment.
In the Risk framework, process and reporting team we will be contributory in taking risk culture in Nordea to the next level and by being fully integrated with Group Functions we will create lasting resilience and proactive compliance.
The position we offer
As Business Risk and Control Specialist you will drive excellence in business (non-financial) risk framework processes and reporting.
You will be responsible for the effective implementation of the non-financial risk management framework and the team is responsible for the application of non-financial risk process in a common way across the divisional teams in BRIS Group Functions.
You will work in close collaboration with our stakeholders, forming a deep understanding of their processes, and ensuring quality implementation of risk procedures and regulatory compliance. You will be a part of a team to increase risk awareness, strengthen the risk culture of Nordea, and provide centralized expert skills in selected areas.
The qualifications you need
Key professional qualifications:
• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience working with risk and end to end risk process management, with a solid understanding of Risk processes, and the ability to create and follow through on strategy for implementing risk frameworks.
• You possess a solid knowledge of best practice techniques in the industry covering risk management framework implementation.
• Previous internal control implementation or control based audit work.
• Implementation of risk cultural awareness programs considered an asset.
• Implementation of processes to meet new legislation requirements and knowledge of regulatory jurisdictions are considered assets.
• Experience with project work and project methodology (project management experience is an asset).
• Understanding of relevant IT processes and general IT controls is a benefit.
• Fluency in English and strong skills in using Microsoft Office tools.

• People and stakeholder management skills to provide partnership and commercial insight.
• Proactive, execution oriented with a structured approach, and great cooperation skills.
• Work independently, manage multiple tasks, conduct independent analyses and assessments and draft proposals based on these, while contributing to a great team performance.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to effectively influence with your interactions.
