As a result, we have moved resources related to Market Analysis and Business Projects into the Business Development function, which now operates integrated in the company's global Opportunity Management and Business Development activities.
The Business Development and Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) department is tasked with identifying, exploring and developing new business opportunities for Sandvik Coromant, which includes activities in the areas of Market Analysis, Strategy Development, Business Development Projects and M&A's.. We are now looking for a Business Project Manager to join us in a strategic, exciting and challenging position with the opportunity to be part of defining the future of Sandvik Coromant on a truly global scale.
The location for this position is flexible, with preferred location Sandviken or Stockholm, and international travel is a natural part of the job.
Key performance areas
With an M&A opportunity identified and presented as a theoretical idea and then implemented to become a revenue-generating business for Sandvik Coromant, you are the one leading the activities throughout the process. You lead M&A projects all the way from first contact through due diligence to signed and closed deals and integration with Sandvik Coromant. In doing so, you work together with stakeholders from different parts of the Sandvik Group, interact with executive management from Sandvik Coromant and lead senior workstream leaders from e.g. sales, operations, legal, finance, tax, product/R&D/technology.
You are part of a team of Market Analysts and other Business Project Managers and report to the Head of Business Development and M&A. Your network will consist of large parts of the Sandvik Coromant organization such as Sales, Product Management and Digital Machining, as well as external players such as target companies and advisors. Project duration ranges from a couple of months to a couple of years.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an MSc, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. You have at least 3 years' relevant professional experience, and additional experience from management consulting, corporate finance or from working in the manufacturing industry is considered advantageous. You are a strong communicator capable of confidently providing senior management with a holistic perspective of a business opportunity backed by detailed subject matter knowledge.
As we act on a global stage, you need excellent skills in English, both verbally and in writing, and additional skills in Swedish or other language is a plus.
