The Business Partner - Clinical Development Operations will use their experience, pharmaceutical and non- pharmaceutical industry intelligence and an in-depth understanding of business processes and priorities to build and deliver an integrated roadmap to digitally transform Clinical Development Operations business areas. The role will develop strategic relationships, identifying ways for IT to partner with all parts of the Clinical Development Operation business areas, and drive outcomes which exceed business objectives. This role and team will lead the identification of business problems, lead the development of business cases, ensure delivery excellence, and exploit investments to create maximum value. The key focus will be on driving the highest impact business outcomes and exploitation of global platforms, capabilities, and architecture. The Business Partner - Clinical Development Operations will be primarily responsible for all R&D IT performance for theses business areas. This role works closely with R&D IT Global Capabilities partners to orchestrate and plan effective deployment of global solutions into regions and sites, including local requirements, dependencies, etc.

Function / Team / Location
• The Business Partner - Clinical Development Operations will be a member of the Clinical Development Operations Business Partnering Team, covering all R&D teams, business processes and systems across Clinical Operations business areas.
• This role will be part of the relevant functional R&D LTs, as IT business partner
• The role will work closely with Global IT Functions, Capabilities, Architecture, Analytics and Support teams.



Typical Accountabilities

* Build strong strategic relationships with large and complex business groups, with a deep understanding of business strategy, future direction, changes and needs.
* Develop and maintain IT/digital roadmap for Development Operations and Clinical Operations functions, incorporating and consolidating all major IT projects/programmes - strategic and tactical.
* Working with Development Operations and Clinical Operations leaders as well as R&D IT and AZIT partners to coordinate optimum deployment roadmaps, avoiding duplication and delays
* Develop strategic plans, feasibility studies, business cases, forecasting & demand planning, and monitor performance metrics for monitor service and delivery.
* Proactively identify opportunities to deliver transformational innovative digital solutions to resolve business issues/challenges and creating value provide business value.
* Champion change management across stakeholder groups to ensure successful governance, communication, and general awareness.
* Drive continuous improvement, simplification, and standardisation initiatives to exploit the maximum benefit from digital investments.
* Monitor, advocate, and drive global IT services required to provide the performance and stability needed to support the site and improve pulse scores.
* Contribute the broad leadership priorities of the region and R&D IT to deliver goals and objectives.
* Lead team to drive a collaborative, inclusive, Great Place to Work environment for all IT colleagues.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

* Experience of bio-pharma industry
* Experience of Clinical Operations business domains
* Experience of identification and implementation of innovative technology solutions
* Evidence of leading and developing innovative solutions
* Experience of defining the business strategies and influencing the vision of senior leaders
* Experience of leading high value business cases & mobilising high value investments
* Experience in managing, developing and leading virtual teams
* A proven track record of delivering results

Skills and Capabilities

* Strong knowledge leading edge trends (for example Industry 4.0) relevant for adoption and implementation of technology / digital solutions
* Experience in GxPs or other regulated environment
* Strong influencing, networking and team working skills
* Able to manage negotiations, expectations and solutions across complex global teams
* A proven track record of delivering results
* Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable

* Educated to degree level standard or equivalent (business technology or related degree)
* Leader within pharma thought leadership networks and organisations
* Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams Ability to partner and work in a matrix organisation
