hela Sverige Our customers demand new system solutions in the plumbing area and now we are looking for a senior Project Manager with a focus on business development and strategy that will manage programs and projects in order to maximize the value of the product and project portfolio. You will be working with all phases of the offering development process, from strategy to lifecycle management with focus on the application Tap Water, where the hygiene aspects of developed solutions are in focus throughout the life cycle. You are placed in Virsbo / Västerås and you manage cross-functional projects throughout Europe and report to the Business Application Manager.
You will manage complex projects in an international environment, where many different parties are involved, such as Engineering, Operation, Logistics, Sales and Marketing. Uponor has a thorough project management process, a Stage & Gate process, enabling a high quality execution of development projects. You will manage different types of development and change projects and conduct product analysis that help to develop the range and that leads us to become a value based company that supplies customer-specific system solutions.
Your responsibilities include, for example:
• Application development from initiation through planning to execution of strategies and business development to secure the business targets.
• Supporting the Business Application Manager to categorize and develop the offerings and business within the application to maximize the financial contribution from the application.
• Support and optimize the management of product portfolio for the program along with the Product Manager.
• Develop a strong understanding of technical and business aspects of the portfolio to identify potential innovations and new product development.
• Identify, analyze, and explore new business opportunities for our products and application solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers and develop new customers.
• Analyze the competing applications.
You have at least a B.Sc. or comparable degree in Mechanical engineering. You have worked at least 5 years as a Project Manager in an international environment with a focus on business development, preferable in a product company. Fluent in English, both written and oral, are required. Having a certification in project management according to PMI/IPMA or equivalent and possess good knowledge in plumbing systems or expertise in drinking water hygiene, is an advantage.
As a person you take initiatives, are responsible and have the ability to manage projects in an independent and professional manner. You have good communication and leadership skills with an empowering attitude. You have a strong problem solving ability and like challenges. You are used to working in a matrix organization in a multicultural environment and manage remote teams.
