Group Product Management

The department, Group Product Management, within the Tele2 Central Commercial Group, is responsible for setting long-term global product strategies, managing our product portfolio and identifying new business opportunities.

We develop and bring to market new products for our existing markets across Europe.

Group New Ventures

New Ventures is responsible for identifying and developing new sources of revenues for the Tele2 Group with particular focus on business areas and value chains that are new for the Group. Some of the focus areas for New Ventures include: Digital Advertising, Machine to Machine, Mobile Payments and Access Independent Services.

Key accountabilities:
As New Ventures Group Business Manager you have a broad understanding and interest in internet innovation, payment methods and solid foundations of telecommunications technology. You will work closely with local product marketing organizations as well as central Sales Channels, IT- and Network departments. Your key responsibilities include:

• Identify new attractive service ideas for the Group and develop investment proposals
• Screen innovation investment proposals prior to product development forum and board meetings
• Define product strategy and implementation roadmaps based on customer, competitor and financial analysis
• Ensure leadership in cost and customer simplicity

Professional profile:
As New Ventures Group business Manager you will drive product strategies, roadmaps and potential partnerships with external players which may also include other operators. You need to have significant in depth expertise in your areas of responsibility completed with the ability to effectively influence commercial executives and middle management specialists in a multi-stakeholder environment. Specific requirements include:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the mobile and internet industries
• Significant experience in product management for innovative products or services
• Comfortable with financial valuation and product profitability analysis
• Strong end to end understanding of product life cycle management for telecom operators (from development to sales and customer support)
• Experience from customer segmentation, needs analysis and targeting offers
• Excellent communication skills in written and oral forms
• High capabilities to influence all relevant managerial levels in geographically distributed matrix organizations
• Work experience from Scandinavia and/or Eastern Europe
• Fluent in English/ Eastern European languages a plus
• Higher degree of education (MSc or MBA within business or engineering)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Highly structured, not afraid of un-clarities and able to work under time pressure

This role is located in Kista at the Tele2 headquarters.
