About the job
Job descriptionBallast water treatment system is seen as one of the big growth potential markets in the maritime industry. We are looking for a Business Manager for our Ballast Water Treatment System - PureBallast.
You will be globally responsible for the business with the responsibility to get this business to grow. The key objectives will be to continue to develop and grow the foremarket business; develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to capture the rapidly growing retrofit market of ballast water treatment systems together with our local sales companies.
In the central organisation you will have 3 persons reporting and your group's main tasks will be:
Sales & Marketing strategy
Contacts with shipyards and shipowners
Support our local sales companies
Follow-up on sales company performance and training requirements
Global sales forecast
Order & follow-up
Customer price strategy
Competitor information
QualificationsIn order to succeed in this position, you need to be structured, goal & result oriented and have experience of high level customer negotiations. You have a solid technical background (master degree or equal) with a big commercial interest.Previous marine experience is beneficial for this position in your contacts with our customers and sales companies.
The business environment is highly international so you have great skills in English both in speech and in writing. As a person you have an outgoing personality with excellent skills in communication and an easy going attitude. You have the ability to work on your own initiative and ability to travel frequently to meet our customers and sales companies.
This position reports to the Managing Director of AlfaWall and will be a part of the AlfaWall Management team.
