Group IT - Infrastructure and OnSite Services (IOS)

Group IT infrastructure and OnSite Service is the entity within the Volvo group , which manages the relationship with Volvo Group entities regarding IT Infrastructure and End User Services, defines the strategic direction and related roadmap and ensures our service deliveries meet agreed service levels - together with our suppliers and partners. In relation to Onsite Services, we manage onsite deliveries of IT Infrastructure and End User Services, manage local TD/BA relationships/ interfaces and drive systematic continuous improvement to reduce downtime and create business value.

Business Infrastructure Management

Business Infrastructure Management is a global department in charge of IT Infrastructure & end user services for all TD/BA's within the Volvo Group, which encompasses:
Digital workplace end user services (IT equipment, MyPlace client, FactoryPlace client, Telephony, IT helpdesk, Desktop applications, collaboration workplace etc.)
Common and shared IT services (Network (WAN, LAN, WLAN), Print, Identity Management and several connectivity services.)
As well as more business specific services (Industrial, Engineering, Dealer and Office)

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Group Trucks Operations (GTO) Business Infrastructure Manager

As a Business Infrastructure Manager, we innovate and collaborate to make Volvo a better place. You will be the strategic and tactical interface for End User and Shared Infrastructure - specifically towards sites Umeå and Kaluga. In your role, you will facilitate the planning and execution of business changes supporting the overall transformation and digitalization within Group Trucks Operations. You will manage direct interaction with your stakeholders and communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information, as well as proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities. You will collect the business demands and requirements to steer relevant deliveries. The focus will be on strategic initiatives and plans, proactive, anticipatory, and driving in nature that provide significant value.

Role mission & context

Our mission is to capture requirements and to facilitate that the usage of IT services enables digitalization and transformation of Group Truck Operations. We make sure our business has the right IT in the workplace to achieve its goals, today and tomorrow: fit for purpose, standard, up-to-date, and used well.

You will be part of the globally spread Group Trucks Operations and Group Trucks Purchasing Business Infrastructure Manager team with 9 members, reporting to the GTO/ GTP BIM Team manager.

Core Responsibilities:
Serves a lead role in enabling Group Trucks Operation to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology
Serve as the strategic and tactical interface for IT infrastructure and Services
Manage the relationship and dialogue with key stakeholders at different levels
Capture, anticipate, and visualize business needs in the form of roadmaps and projects
Plan prioritize and process IT infrastructure Service requests until final Delivery
Proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities
Drive deployment and facilitate effective change management for the usage of new IT services
Contribute to the Infrastructure Portfolios Service Strategy and Design work

Required Competencies:
Excellent industrial / automotive knowledge
IT service and infrastructure knowledge
Effective verbal, written communication skills and relationship building skill
Ability to work cross functional
Gather and analyze information skillfully
Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions
Collaboration/teamwork

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities

Experience Required:
Ideally 10 years of related experience
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
Working in an industrial or operational context
Ideal candidate will be highly motivated with an operational mindset
