The Global tax team is a supportive and cooperative function to the entire H&M Group organization, in all matters related to tax and transfer pricing, including the area of indirect tax and VAT governance. Within the VAT framework, we aim to bring value to the business by providing expertise in the field and ensuring compliance throughout all end-to-end processes. Aligned with our visionary goals, we are committed to supporting and driving for automated digitalized solutions.
Job Description
As a talented business expert in this field, your primary focus will be to guarantee VAT compliance within diverse accounting processes and tech solutions. You will be a key player and engage actively in agile cross-functional collaborations between the business and tech functions, gathering and translating VAT requirements for technical teams, and ensuring the precision of implemented solutions. You will provide VAT support for various initiatives, conduct VAT research, analyze financial data, troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, and work closely with other accounting teams.
As a business expert, you will be accountable for making sure the processes/products meet customer and user needs and bring value to the business. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, product designers, and other stakeholders, focusing on pinpointing and prioritizing wanted effects for the processes/products and how these can be realized to give business value. You are accountable for identifying needs for business processes or other changes about end user and customer needs.
In addition, you are:
Responsible for the contribution of specialized business area expertise to business value to the processes, both from an end-user and customer perspective.
Be a natural point of contact, working to create understanding regarding the process purpose and plan and align between different stakeholders.
Responsible for communicating new process features based on wanted business outcomes/customer needs, by assessing feasibility and requirements.
With their deep understanding of the process the business expert is responsible for translating business needs to be implemented in the process.
Responsible for making sure the updated process delivered meets intended business value or legal compliance, ensuring acceptance test and training of end users and stakeholders. Ensuring engagement and motivation among end users.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation for processes and solutions.

Qualifications
We believe you have a strong background in traditional finance and accounting with deep skills within one or several subject matters related to Indirect tax and VAT from a multinational environment. You are interested in and experienced with digital solutions, new technology, and integrations, and behold substantial knowledge and experience from SAP solutions.
You have a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of VAT legislation in an international environment. Your talent lies in analyzing and interpreting VAT rules and regulations, translating them into requirements for both business and tech organizations. You are skilled in providing support to determine the optimal course of action that results in business value. You have a deep understanding of how business capabilities and objectives can be enabled through technology. Your strong analytical skills enable you to prioritize effectively, considering impacts from both business and tech perspectives.
You are comfortable taking on responsibility, with a structured and organized approach. You have experience in project work and are comfortable delivering and meeting deadlines in dynamic work environments. You are truly hands-on and detail-oriented with a solution-oriented approach, willing to take initiative, build trust, and drive meaningful change. We believe you are an open-minded, collaborative, communicative, and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism and act as a role model for our values.
Qualifications
Bachelor 's degree in Accounting & Finance, Business, Tax, IT Economics, or equivalent
Proven experience (+6 years) within the area of Finance and Accounting with subject matter expertise in the field of Indirect tax/VAT, VAT fillings, VAT compliance reporting, and VAT solutions in SAP ERP.
ERP SAP experience is mandatory.
Fluent in English both spoken & written is mandatory.
Any experience with Indirect tax from countries outside of the European region is an advantage.
Experience with other ERP solutions or VAT compliance reporting and tax engine tools is an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Power BI
